I must say I was stunned into silence for a good fifteen minutes.
And that's shocking as anyone who knows me will tell you.
I've never heard of a girl having trouble getting into a club.
Well, okay, not "never", but certainly not as a regular occurrence!

I deeply suspect one of three things is happening;

a. you are not doing your homework on the club and its the promoters
b. you aren't dressing correctly for the door
c. you are a straight man angling for the, um, angles, that we gals have.

Nightlife requires some study and you have to be willing to do the flash cards and the Kaplan course on it.

Get it?

In that vein of thought, here's the Cliff Notes, lazy pants.
a. You must know in advance of the velvet rope Red Rover, who owns the place, what it's all about and what party/
promoter is managing that night. You can do this by signing up for promoter email lists
(tossing you a few bones: in NY, www.joonbug.com, www.strategicevents.tv) or you can call the club
and ask....(ooooh, aaahh, novel.)
This way, you're on "the list". Wahoo! Yes, Virginia, there is a list.
b. Read Vogue or Bazaar. Shop the places in our list. Leave your Forenza jeans from junior high at home.
c. There are special parties just for you...
