Elevating costume pieces with safety pins, chain remnants, plastic pearls, and inexpensive- looking rhinestone to crazy prices, this designer dared to ask women to pay a lot for a chunky salvage look. And it worked. While much of his stuff, from the grenade key chain to the Alice in Wonderland pieces to neon 80s ish earrings is playful and tongue- in- cheek, the collection also includes sterling silver and gold- over- brass elegant wearables as well. This store is so popular that there's often a wait list for many things, and if you make it off it, you'll be in good company: even Michelle Obama is a fan.
