It's chic to be green. And while it may seem gimmicky to do a "green nightclub", it's also hard these days to do a good club. And Greenhouse is that. Built from recycled and recyclable materials (they applied for an L.E.E.D certification to be classified as an environmentally friendly or "green" building), they had their launch event during Paris Fashion Week at Le Baron (with Carmen Kass, Bruce Willis, Mary-Kate Olsen, Lily Cole, Irina Lazaraneau and Jessica Stam in attendance) and that's started a trend for them. Since the actual opening in NY (a regular celebrity haunt for Leonardo Dicaprio, Kevin Spacey, Colin Farrell, and many others), there's been Greenhouse travelling events at the Sundance Film Festival, where they hosted U2's film premiere, as well as the Cannes Film Festival, at which Prince Albert II of Monaco hosted an event benefiting his charity foundation, and even a satellite location at the Toronto Film Festival which hosted the likes of Benicio del Toro, Steven Soderbergh, Evangeline Lilly and the North American Premiere Party for "Valentino: The Last Great Emperor".
