Michael Sinensky's space (he's behind Vintage Irving, which is as you know is loved by us at Hip Guide) offers up an amazing view of the Hudson River. But more than that, this is a place that lends to lingering. With an open air top and spectacular views from three sides, the brilliance of this lounge is in two things. One, in inclement weather, a clear tent top allows sunshine in and lounge goers can barely tell they're not outside. And secondarily, simple touches such as (on one of the nights we were there) a steel drum band doing fantastic versions of tunes by the Beatles, Maroon 5 and the Thompson Twins) unsnotty wait staff, an easy door policy and user friendly menu items such as classic margaritas, mojitos, a cheese plate and their version of nachos (vegetable chips with capers, cream, caviar and salmon). The only downside is the far river edge location however take a taxi up the highway and you can be dropped right at the doorstep. See you there!
