Oof, finally something for the non-twenty year old. Bless Cesar Sotomayor (a former commercial airline pilot and Olympic swimmer for Brazil of all wonders) and Elliot Monter for making this 42,000 square foot spot. Karu is the food, Y is the bar, and right from the start this place did it in style. Instead of matches, the restaurant has tiny lighters and it continues from there. From the Dale Chihuly chandelier to the wenge and zebrawood tables, there's something Vegas about this giant space. Thankfully the Wagyu sirloin, oxtail lasagna, Spanish clam bake, Kurobuta pork, and coconut panna cotta are all amazing. Prices are to match with the pre- Theatre dinner menu coming in at about a hundy with wine.
