Arbutus
63 Frith Street
011 44 207 734 4545

Packed every night, Soho spot Arbutus from Anthony Demetre and Will Smith (Putney Bridge Restaurant) is an extremely comfortable two room 60 seat French resto made up of natural material and colours. Pied-paquets, matelote of eel, and tendron of veal make up the simple, tasty, well-prepared dishes. A super spot during lunch for nearby media types, at dinner it’s both business dinners and two-tops of dates. The steal is the pre-theatre early opening (or say, late lunch) at 5pm with a menu at £15 for two courses (£18 for three).
